These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between the tour operator and content creator LAMDA3, with VAT 132234176, based in 47 Dimitriou Gounari Str, Piraeus and the users, visitors of the LAMDA3 website and the tour participants as well as third parties booking tours for tour participants or acting as agents for tours (hereafter “Customer(s)”) for all services provided by LAMDA3, in particular the organisation of excursions (hereafter “Tour(s)”) and their guiding as far as tour guiding is not provided by third-party providers. For all activities of third-party providers, LAMDA3 merely acts as an agent; however, such activities are carried out in the name of and according to the terms and conditions of the third-party providers. The present GTC form an integral part of any individual contract independently of the medium through which the contract is closed and of any kind of use of the LAMDA3 website made of users, visitors or customers. Please read the GTC form carefully as it sets out our respective rights and obligations. By asking LAMDA3 to confirm the booking or by using the LAMDA3 website in any kind of way, LAMDA3 is entitled to assume that the Customer had the opportunity to read the booking conditions and agree to them.
All original material such as content, graphics, design, and other matters related to the LAMDA3 website are protected under applicable copyrights and other proprietary laws, including but not limited to intellectual property laws. The copying, reproduction, use, modification or publication by any non-authorised person of any such matters or any part of the LAMDA3 website is strictly prohibited, without LAMDA3’a prior written permission.
2.2 Deleting and Modification.
LAMDA3 reserves the right in LAMDA3’s sole discretion, without any obligation and without any notice requirement to the user, visitor or customer, to edit or delete any documents, information or other content appearing on the website, including the present GTC.
2.3 No reliance
The information on the LAMDA3 website does not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of LAMDA3. Neither should any suggestions or advice contained on this website be relied upon in place of professional advice. The user, visitor or customer is responsible for checking the accuracy of relevant facts and opinions given on this website before entering into any commitment based upon them.
2.4 Material- reproduction
The LAMDA3 website contains material which is owned by or licensed to LAMDA3. This material includes, but is not limited to extensive daily new stories and reviews in reference to travel and lifestyle. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions. All trademarks reproduced in this website which are not the property of, or licensed to, the operator are acknowledged on the website. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. From time to time this website may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for the visitor’s convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that LAMDA3 endorses the website(s), nor has LAMDA3 any responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).
2.5 Prohibited use
The LAMDA3 website should not be used:
• in such a way so as to remove the copyright or trade mark notice(s) from any copies of any material made in accordance with these terms.
• to disseminate any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation
• to disseminate any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment; or in any way that might infringe third party rights or that might bring LAMDA3 or into disrepute.
All suggestions, ideas, notes, concepts and other information users, visitors or customers may send to LAMDA3 (collectively, “Submissions”) shall be used to LAMDA3 in perpetuity and/or according to any detailed specific agreement and will not be subject to any obligation of confidence on LAMDA3’s part. LAMDA3 shall be entitled to unrestricted use of the Submissions for any purpose, unless otherwise specified in any other agreement, without compensation to the provider of the Submissions. Such use will by no means infringe on any property/ trade mark/ intellectual property rights.
2.7 User-submitted content
Any text, image, audio or other content sent by users, visitors or customers to the LAMDA3 website can be used in perpetuity unrestricted and/or according to any detailed specific agreement, throughout the world, in all known and discovered mediums and for all purposes and LAMDA3 shall have the right to make it available to the public on the LAMDA3 website and otherwise. All material must comply with the rules of acceptable use. LAMDA3 may require the user, visitor or customer to confirm the rights granted in this paragraph and where requested to do so the user, visitor or customer should provide all reasonable assistance to LAMDA3. In case LAMDA3 uses, text, images, audio or other content that is published to the LAMDA3 website to be worldwide published in the future as part of any hardcover book, printed version of any thematic publication of LAMDA3’s choice and/ or in accordance with any project, through any means, in the press or media LAMDA3 cooperates with, the visitor or customer agrees to grant LAMDA3 the license to do so, retaining their own copyrights, as long as all moral rights to their work. Users, visitors or customers also agree that they do not raise any future financial claims after such use, other than the one agreed, in the license agreement, if that is the case as part of a separate license agreement between the user, visitor or customer and LAMDA3 as contracting parties.
2.8 Rules of Acceptable Use
Reader Response and any pages of the LAMDA3 website where the user, visitor or customer is capable of posting material is provided for the exchange of lawful, relevant, fair and appropriate information, opinions and comment. Use of the LAMDA3 website that is inconsistent with those stated intentions is strictly prohibited. The use of these forums and the website generally is subject to the following terms which, by the use of the forums and the website, the user, visitor or customer is deemed to accept (and which amount to a non-exhaustive list of prohibited acts).
2.9 Removal of content
LAMDA3 will not view or edit or pre-screen any contribution that any user makes to the forums or to the website generally and therefore, unless LAMDA3 is specifically notified of the nature of any item of content, it cannot be assumed that LAMDA3 is responsible for having made it available on the LAMDA3 website. LAMDA3, and third parties that have been designated, shall have the right (but not the obligation) at LAMDA3’s sole discretion to refuse or remove any content that is posted to, or available on, the forums or the website without the need to give any reasons for doing so.
2.10 Content objections.
If you object to the publication of any material placed on LAMDA3 online forums (or anywhere else on the LAMDA3 website) please send an appropriately worded email to firstname.lastname@example.org and LAMDA3 will take the adequate action that will be deemed appropriate.
2.11 Third-Party Website
All rules, terms and conditions, other policies (including privacy policies) and operating procedures of third-party linked websites will apply to the user, visitor or customer while on such websites. LAMDA3 is not responsible for the content, accuracy or opinions expressed in such Websites, and such Websites are not investigated, monitored or checked for accuracy or completeness by LAMDA3. Inclusion of any linked Website on the LAMDA3 website does not imply approval or endorsement of the linked Website by LAMDA3. This Site and the third-party linked websites are independent entities and neither party has authority to make any representations or commitments on behalf of the other. If you decide to leave the LAMDA3 website and access these third-party linked sites, you do so at your own risk.
All responsibility or liability for any damages caused by viruses contained within the electronic file containing the form or document is disclaimed. LAMDA3 will not be liable to users, visitors or customers for any incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind that may result from use of or inability to use the LAMDA3 website.

3.1 Making a Booking
In order to make an individual or group booking, the user, visitor or customer should follow the procedure shown on LAMDA3 website or should ask for an offline application form. The relevant application form needs to be completed by each person travelling. When a Customer is under 18 at the time of the booking, the application form also needs to be signed by one parent or guardian or initialled online during the booking process. The completed booking form must then be sent to LAMDA3 along with the respective payments.
Where LAMDA3 has already confirmed the availability of the chosen arrangements and the Customer books within any applicable time limit for doing so, the booking will be treated as firm and a contract between LAMDA3 and the Customer will come into existence as soon as LAMDA3 receives the completed application form and the agreed deposit or amount. LAMDA3 will then send the Customer the receipt for all payments made and the invoice. Where LAMDA3 has not confirmed availability, the booking will be treated as firm and a contract, when LAMDA3 despatches the invoice to the Customer. Where the Customer books through the LAMDA3 website without prior confirmation of availability, any electronic acknowledgement of the booking is not a confirmation of it. The invoice should be checked carefully. Contact LAMDA3 immediately if any information which appears on the invoice or any other document appears to be incorrect or incomplete.
3.2 Conclusion of Contract of Booking
Bookings can be made through different distribution channels (internet, travel agency, hotel, tourist information, etc.) by telephone, e-mail or in person. For free participation, too, a booking must be made. Otherwise, LAMDA3 may exclude the participant and, in case of minors, also their accompanying person (see section 7) from the Tour. On the occasion of the booking, Customers shall inform LAMDA3 of their credit card details through a safe banking environment and this information will never be used by LAMDA3. If bookings for Customers are made by third parties (including bookings of Customers for other Customers), such third parties are liable both for payment of the booked service and Customers’ agreement to these GTC. The contract between the Customer or the third party making the booking, respectively, and LAMDA3 is concluded with the unconditional acceptance of the booking by LAMDA3. Through the booking, the Customer as well as any third party making the booking accept the present GTC as binding. LAMDA3 will not accept any non-binding reservations.
3.3 Rates and Terms of Payment
The Tour price per person (hereafter “Tour Price”) is stated the price list in Euros. All prices are quoted including VAT. Prices are subject to change according to section 6. The Tour Price is due at the time of booking.
3.4 Cancellations / Changes in Bookings by the Customer
LAMDA3 does not offer any cancellation insurance.
3.5 Daily Tours
Daily Tours can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the Tour date free of charge.
In case of cancellation less than 24 hours before the Tour date and in case of no-show, the full Tour Price per Customer is charged.
The terms of cancellation / changes in bookings as mentioned above also apply to bookings that are made less than 24 hours before the Tour date.
Exception to above: For Multi-day tours a cancellation period of 48 hours before the Tour date applies.
3.6 Private Tours
Cancellations and changes in bookings (i.e. any change in the Tour, in the number of Customers or in the Tour date) must be made in writing (including fax or e-mail) and are legally binding upon confirmation by LAMDA3. For any change of booking a handling fee of 25€ in addition to any additional costs of the Tour is due. In case of cancellation the following fees apply:
Up to 30 days prior to the Tour Date: handling fee of 25€
30 to 10 days prior to the Tour Date: 30% of the cancellation amount
09 to 04 days prior to the Tour Date: 50% of the cancellation amount
03 – 0 days prior to the Tour Date: 100% of the total amount of the initially booked Tour
Any deviating terms of cancellation are communicated by LAMDA3 in the confirmation of booking.
Acceptance of any changes in private Tours previously confirmed by LAMDA3 is at LAMDA3’s free discretion.
3.7 Cancellation by LAMDA3
It is at LAMDA3’s free discretion to cancel a Tour that is jeopardised, considerably hindered or made impossible due to meteorological hazard, official measures, political disturbances, strikes, demonstrations, difficult traffic conditions, closed roads or similar unforeseeable circumstances. The same applies if the minimum number of 5 participants paying the full Tour Price is not reached for regular tours. The Tour Price that has already been paid will be refunded, further compensation claims are excluded.
3.8 Changes in Tour Prices or Services
LAMDA3 reserves the right to change the Tour Price according to the price list or the agreed Tour Price, respectively, in case of extraordinary circumstances. Extraordinary circumstances are in particular:
– changes in the rates of third-party providers, e.g. of transportation companies
– newly introduced or raised taxes, charges or fees
Changes in Tour Prices in case of extraordinary circumstances are communicated at the latest 3 weeks prior to the Tour date. If the difference between the new and the initial Tour Price exceeds 10%, the Customer is entitled either to withdraw from the contract upon written notice within 5 days after communication of the change in Tour Prices against full refund of any Tour Price already paid or to book an alternative Tour of LAMDA3 in the value of the initially booked Tour without any rebooking fee. Further compensation for damages is excluded.
LAMDA3 reserves the right to change the Tour program at any time, prematurely curtail the Tour or offer alternative solutions in case of extraordinary circumstances. Any additional costs of the Tour shall be borne by the Customer. LAMDA3 undertakes to immediately inform the Customer of any changes in services and/or in the program. If the alternative solution is more expensive than the initially booked Tour or unreasonable for the Customer, Customer is offered withdrawal free of charge. Refunds are effected in the same way as payment has been made. Further compensation for damages due to change(s) in Tour Prices or services is excluded.
3.9 Terms of Participation
Tours are offered subject to the terms published by LAMDA3 (e.g. with regard to language, Tour guiding, etc.). Lead Tour participants must identify themselves at the check-in before the Tour starts by showing their ID or passport according to the booking; otherwise, LAMDA3 may exclude both the lead Tour participants and individual Customers for whom the booking was made without refund of the purchasing price. All Customers must have their ID or passport with them. Minor Customers must be accompanied by a person having the power of representation. Coaches are not equipped with a ramp. Disabled Customers who need assistance in getting on and off the coach are requested to organise such assistance themselves. Pets are not allowed with the exception of companion dogs for disabled persons. Customers undertake to inform LAMDA3 of any health problems. Adequate health and accident insurance coverage is the responsibility of the individual Customers (including supplementary insurance against sports accidents in case of Tours with sports activities). It is essential that you have adequate and appropriate cover for your trip including any adventurous activities such as trekking at altitude. Note that the majority of our trips do not require the use of climbing ropes and are all supervised. It is important to have adequate insurance which will cover medical expenses (including evacuation and repatriation). If you travel against FCO advice, the validity of your insurance policy may be affected. Please read your policy details carefully and take them with you on your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs.
A Tour under the influence of drugs, medicines and/or excessive alcohol is not permitted. Customers undertake to strictly comply with these GTC, the terms of participation of third-party providers, the instructions of LAMDA3, of third-party providers, of support staff as well as external Tour guides and rescue staff. Furthermore, Customers are obliged to wear seat belts and to use child safety seats, if applicable. LAMDA3 reserves the right to exclude a Customer from the Tour with immediate effect in case of health problems, non-compliance with the terms of participation or violation of these GTC or any instructions. In case a minor Customer is excluded, the accompanying person is also excluded from the Tour. In case the exclusion is made prior to the Tour date, the terms of cancellation apply analogously. In case the exclusion is made during a Tour, the Customer has no right to a refund of the Tour Price. In case of exclusion, any and all claims for damages against LAMDA3 are excluded.
If the Customer is not present in time at the departure respectively meeting point for the start of or during the Tour, LAMDA3 reserves the right to exclude the Customer from the Tour after a waiting period of 15 minutes for a half-day Tour or 30 minutes for a day or multiple days Tour and to depart without the Customer. In this case, the Customer is neither entitled to a refund of the Tour Price nor may the Customer claim any damages. Furthermore, Customer must pay for any additional costs (e.g. transportation back to the starting point) him- or herself.
The information contained in LAMDA3 website and in other advertising material is believed correct to the best of LAMDA3’S knowledge at the time of publication. However, errors may occasionally occur and information may subsequently change. You must therefore ensure you check all details of your chosen tour (including the price) with LAMDA3 at the time of the booking.

The Tour packages of LAMDA3 usually offer pick up transportation from the airport, Tour Leader, Accommodation, Activities in nature, Meals, Seminars (depending on the Tour), Transportation that has been organised by LAMDA3. The Tour packages of LAMDA3 do not offer Museum Entrance Fees, Aeroplane Tickets, Ferry Tickets, Tips, Personal Expenses and anything that is not clearly stated within the Tour offer.
3.10 Special requests
The Customer should advise LAMDA3 of any special requests prior to the booking. Where possible, LAMDA3 will endeavour to meet any such request. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to the supplier or the inclusion of the special request on the invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability. For the Customer’s own protection, the Customer should obtain confirmation in writing that a special request will be complied (where it is possible to give this) where it is important to the Customer.
4.1 Limitation of LAMDA3’s Liability
Customers undertake all activities at their own risk. Any liability of LAMDA3 is limited to the Tour Price as well as any direct damages caused wilfully or by gross negligence by LAMDA3. LAMDA3’s liability for slight negligence, assisting persons as well as consequential damages and lost profit is excluded. LAMDA3 does not assume any liability in case of non-fulfillment of contractual obligations that results from omissions or contract violation by the Customer (in particular due to violation of the terms of participation in section 7). In case of cancellation of a Tour, LAMDA3 is only liable for the refund of the Tour Price if no alternative Tour is offered. LAMDA3 does not assume any liability for the disappearance of personal items, cash, valuables, luggage, photographic equipment, etc. as well as loss, theft, damage or misuse of checks and credit cards.
LAMDA3 will only be responsible for what employees, agents and suppliers do or do not do if they were at the time acting within the course of their employment (for employees) or carrying out work they were asked to do (for agents and suppliers).
LAMDA3 does not assume any liability for the disappearance of personal items, cash, valuables, luggage, photographic equipment, etc. as well as loss, theft, damage or misuse of checks and credit cards, any injury, illness, death, damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following:
• Customer’s act(s) and/or omission(s); or
• the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of the tour and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; or
• ‘force majeure’
LAMDA3 cannot accept responsibility for any services which do not form part of the agreeable contract. This includes, for example, any additional services which any supplier agrees to provide or arrange for the Customer where LAMDA3 has not agreed to provide or arrange these services as part of the contract. Such additional services will include any activities which do not form part of the contracted tour arrangements which a supplier agrees to provide or arrange for the Customer while they are away.
The Customer must ensure to have appropriate travel insurance to protect their personal belongings. For all other claims which do not involve death or personal injury, if LAMDA3 is found liable to the Customer on any basis the maximum amount LAMDA3 will have to pay is twice the price paid by or on behalf of the person(s) affected in total. This maximum amount will only be payable where there is sufficient proof.
4.2 Exclusion of Liability for Offers of Third-party Providers and in Case of unforeseeable events
LAMDA3 does not assume any liability for the offers and services of third-party providers nor does LAMDA3 assume any liability for damages based on circumstances that are beyond LAMDA3’s control, such as natural events, catastrophes, changes in program due to non-adherence of bus or ship transportation companies or other third-party providers to their schedules, etc. Customer undertakes to claim any damages directly from the third-party provider.
4.3 Customer’s Liability
All activities for which LAMDA3 acts as an agent and which are carried out by third-party providers or are organised and/or carried out by Customers themselves incur at Customer’s own risk. LAMDA3 is not liable for the consequences of any accident. LAMDA3 expects from each Customer a considerable degree of personal responsibility. Customers only participate in activities that are compatible with their physical condition, in particular their health and physical efficiency. Customers are in particular responsible for an adequate equipment (clothing, footwear, sun protection, etc.).
4.4 Deadline for the Assertion of Claims
Customers’ claims towards LAMDA3 due to non-fulfillment or fulfillment not in accordance with the contract must be asserted within 30 days after the contractually agreed Tour date in writing with a detailed explanation of the claims. A complaint in relation to the Tour guide is not sufficient. Claims received by LAMDA3 after expiry of this deadline cannot be accepted anymore, except if Customers prove that they were faultlessly prevented from meeting such deadline.
5.1 Data Protection
Registered users or customers agree that their data, in particular Customer’s name, address, telephone number, birth date, nationality, gender and credit card details, are collected by LAMDA3 for the carrying out of certain Tours according to the contract. Such data can be forwarded to third-party providers.
5.2 Amendments to these GTC
LAMDA3 may amend these GTC at any time.
In case any of the provisions of these GTC shall be held or become invalid, void or unenforceable in any other way, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected thereby. In case of unenforceability of a provision, such provision shall be replaced by an enforceable provision that reflects the intention and purpose of the invalid provision as closely as possible. The same procedure applies if a gap in these GTC becomes evident.
5.4 Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
Greek law shall apply to the legal relationship between the user, visitor or customer and LAMDA3 (with the exclusion of conflict of law rules).
The Customer or Visitor agrees to indemnify, defend and hold LAMDA3, officers, share holders, partners, attorneys and employees harmless from any and all liability, loss, damages, claim and expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, related to any violation on behalf of Customer or Visitor of this Agreement or use of the LAMDA3 website.
5.6 Competition terms and conditions.
Trade marks and patents found on the LAMDA3 website are fully protected by the Trade mark law.
In the event that any term of these Terms & Conditions of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms & Conditions of Use shall remain valid and enforceable.
5.8 Variation of these Terms & Conditions of Use.
LAMDA3 reserves the right to vary these Terms & Conditions of Use from time to time. Such variations become effective immediately upon the posting of the varied Terms & Conditions of Use on the website. By continuing to use the website the user, visitor or customer will be deemed to accept such variations.
