The experiences offered by LAMDA3 are tours that include hiking, climbing, mountain bike, motorcycle excursions, SUP, kite surf, sea kayak, wellness packages of yoga or pilates, local food and wine tastings, gastronomy, cooking and ceramics lessons. You can choose any package that can satisfy your sense of adventure, budget and availability.
Any activity offered by LAMDA3 can be tailor made to the exact physical capacity of each participant.
LAMDA3 offers tailor made tours for the whole family. For group tours the minimum age varies depending on the destination and the activities.
LAMDA3 strives to cater to the needs of the authentic traveller and avid nature lover. The LAMDA3 traveller can travel solo, with a group of friends, has no age limit, loves culture, new experiences and the environment. No special skills are required for most tours, just a sense of adventure and curiosity.
LAMDA3 believes that good things come in small packages. We strive to remain flexible, which is why we keep our group sizes down. On most of our tours the group sizes are on average of up to 12 people per travel experience.
For group tours the minimum age varies depending on the destination and the activities. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18. Our tours don’t have a maximum age limit, but a medical proof of good health is required for all travellers 70 years and over.
Our group leaders are amazing, local and can’t wait to show you around. They are well trained to cater to the group’s needs and are on a mission to make you have a good time.
You can participate in part of the tour, but unfortunately if you have booked for the whole tour, you won’t be able to be reimbursed for the unused portion of the tour, unless you have notified us at the time of the tour booking. If you let us know before travel that you’ll be arriving late or need to leave before the tour ends, we will notify our team to best accommodate your requirements.
You definitely can extend or minimise your stay, as long as you notify us at the time of the tour booking or early enough for us to arrange the accomodation.
Many of our travellers join because they are travelling solo and want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people.
As a solo traveller, you will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender as per your passport information. If you’re not comfortable sharing a room with someone of the same gender, you also have the choice to pay for a single supplement. If you don’t identify with the gender assigned on your passport, please let us know at time of booking and we’ll arrange the room configuration accordingly.
LAMDA3 is committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. We ask that you carefully consider whether you are physically and mentally able to complete the tour you have chosen, recognising that on many tours you will be required to carry your own bags. Where we can we will make reasonable adjustments to the operation of our tours to facilitate the requirements of disabled travellers – such as booking ground floor accommodation, or having our leaders communicate important directions in writing as well as verbally. Many travellers with disabilities have been able to enjoy our tours by travelling with a friend or companion who can assist with specific needs. If joining a group tou is not practical we may be able to provide you with a private one.
Depending on the tour you choose, our tours are organised on a twin, triple or multishare basis. As our bookings are made well in advance, individual room requests can’t be guaranteed.
You can book pre and post accommodation on a single basis, however some tours may not have a single supplement available, so please request this at the time of the tour booking. Food, drink and dietary requirements
Please let us know at the time of the tour booking of any food requirements or allergies and we’ll pass the information so we can accommodate all dietary sensitivities.
Food is one of the most exciting parts of travelling with us. You can eat with the group or branch out on your own, but the food catered to you by LAMDA3 is traditional, locally sourced and delicious.
In some destinations it may not be wise to drink the local water. You will always be informed about the safety of the local water prior to arrival.
Our tours are guaranteed to depart as long as the number of participants has reached the number of 4 participants. That means that once you book your tour, the tour will be confirmed as long as this number has been confirmed.
After confirming the booking of the tour, we will provide you with all the essential information about our destination. In the meantime, we will always be happy to answer any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
LAMDA3 does not offer a travel insurance, but we always suggest that you should get one for yourself, your family and your belongings.
While we take all the precautions we can to make sure your belongings are safe, there is always the chance of unforeseeable events. As LAMDA3 cannot take the responsibility of your personal belongings, we suggest having a travel insurance that can protect you from such an unfortunate occurrence. Also a lockable bag or money belt always helps too.
We recommend having access to money from a variety of sources such as cash and credit cards. Will refrigeration be available for medicines? Availability of refrigeration cannot be guaranteed. As a general rule, many of the accommodations offered, provide access to small fridges, however, especially when outside, you cannot rely on access to refrigeration. Please be sure to advise LAMDA3 if you are travelling with medication that requires refrigeration.
As we are not medical practitioners, we unfortunately cannot advise on this issue. Please see your local doctor for details and advice about current vaccination requirements.
Our leaders are trained to deal with these situations and we will make sure to get you help as quickly as possible. If you must leave the tour early due to illness, our local offices will help you find appropriate medical care and ensure someone at home is aware of the situation. We will do whatever we can to get you home or on your onward journey.
Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere in our destinations. We suggest that you have a couple of options that will assure that you are covered if one doesn’t work.
Each tour covers specific costs of the tour. For the budget needed for other costs or possible purchases, we will be more than happy to help you on that when you send us an email with your enquiry at email@example.com.
We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc.. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and up and down staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads. Ask for our suggested Packing list by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We only have a handful of tours where sleeping bags are required and these are generally the ones that involve camping. When this is the case we will always inform you about the requirements of the tour at the time of your booking. What clothes and footwear should I take on hikes? We definitely recommend hiking boots.
We always recommend packing as light as possible however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on the chosen activities.
It’s important that you always travel with your current passport, visas, travel insurance and ID.
Generally, check-ins are between midday and 2pm. If you do arrive earlier, you’ll be able to store your luggage with the accommodation and head out to explore for a couple of hours.
We can’t confirm an early check-in, but you can always ask the of receiving you as a guest, earlier or allowing you to leave your luggage.
Generally airport transfers are included in your tour price. In case they are not included, we will indicate the price you can expect to pay for a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The cost of the transfer will inevitably be more expensive than a taxi, but it is important to remember that you are paying for a private service and a trusted driver who will offer the security travellers often desire when they arrive into a foreign country. There is always the option of public transportation. Directions will be given to you upon the confirmation of your booking.
Absolutely. If there are included or optional activities that you don’t wish to participate in, you can do your own program or we will offer you an alternative activity. Please note that if you choose to opt out of an included activity last minute, no reimbursement can be made by LAMDA3.
LAMDA3 has activities ranging from relatively easy to extremely difficult. We always strive to cater for all participants by offering all kinds of levels on the same tour. The easiest way to determine if an activity is right for you is to ask us the physical rating of the tour by sending us an email at email@example.com.
The beauty of travelling with LAMDA3 is that we encourage travellers to explore at their own pace. When you reach the tour destination, your leader will offer options on what you can do.
If you know in advance that you will be arriving late, please let us know. We will notify your leader, who will leave instructions with the accommodation reception as to where to meet your group that night or the following morning. If you plan to arrive a day or two into the tour, it will be your responsibility to catch up with the group. If this happens, we will provide you with the most up-to-date information as to where your group will be. If you are late due to unforseeable circumstances or flight delays, LAMDA3 cannot reimburse you for any portion of the tour unused, but this can often be claimed on your travel insurance.
The standard of accommodation depends on the tour, but LAMDA3 always offers locally owned, clean and traditional accommodation.
We want our travellers to be as comfortable as possible so depending on the season, the accommodation can cater for either air-conditioning or heating facilities.
Most of the accommodations offered by LAMDA3 have Wi-Fi and this will make it easy to keep in touch with home. In remote places where we will go for our activities, you may not be able to communicate as readily. Your leader will usually give you the heads up before you leave a place so you can can arrange communication before arriving for the activities. we strongly recommend each traveller to get hold of a local SIM card upon arrival as this will make communications easier.
If family and friends are unable to contact you in an emergency through email or phone, they can contact LAMDA3 directly. Emergency contact details are offered to you vie email upon your booking confirmation.
We can never guarantee your phone will work as desired, as in many of our destinations may have limited coverage even if you have a local SIM card. But in most of the areas a local SIM card will operate normally.
Some places have Wi-Fi hot spots everywhere and other places will have no coverage at all. If you stumble into the latter, we suggest for you take the chance to relax and get to know your fellow travellers the old-fashioned way.
In most places you’ll be able to recharge your appliances at the chosen accommodation. We recommend though that you bring a travel adapter with you.
Usually a van or a bus will be the main way of transportation. When you visit the islands, it can be a ferry or a privately rented boat.
Yes, in Greece tipping is expected, especially in restaurants. At the end of your tour, if you’re happy with the service you received, providing a tip for the leader – though not compulsory – is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it’s of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry in Greece.

We do not offer this option. We do however support local organisations by giving back or partnering up with them. For instance, by using the CYCLIFY app, you get a 10% discount on your tour booking.
