Experience it
Paragraphs:

Although Paros was never my main preference for the islands I would like to visit, it left me a very nice feeling and image on the occasion that I had been there for 2 days and made me want to come back again. Large island, organized with turquoise waters and Cycladic architecture. Nice villages, nice food, crystal clear waters, organized beaches, choices for activities and fun for all tastes are the characteristics that make it different. Favorite destination especially for youth because of fun.

I had the opportunity to discover it through my friends who have visited it for many years and thanks to them I create a mini guide below so that you can enjoy it within 48 hours.

Take the first ship in the morning from Piraeus, pick up the sun that comes out on the back of Athens and arrive early on the island to help you enjoy it. The duration of the trip is 4.5 hours.

Parikia

The port of the island and the most touristy part of it. Very nice castle and chapel to enjoy a romantic sunset overlooking the sunset. If you want to relax for a meal and eat Magaya.

Naousa

In Naousa I fell in love with the harbor. Friendly, warm, romantic, as a movie set. It may have been the time that I wanted to go out to bars, going from one to another, but it did not stop me from loving this corner of Paros. Surprisingly, the Barbarossa Restaurant stands opposite the chapel. I could have a table covered there every night to enjoy a glass of wine. For lovers of nightlife, this harbor is their favorite place. Many dining and drink options.

Beaches

Kolimbithres

Perhaps the most famous and tourist beach on the island. Known for the particular peculiarity of the rocks, since they have been eroded in such a way as to give a particular aesthetics to the environment. All 3 bays on the beach are - unfortunately - covered with sun loungers. Nice organization, but often the over-exploitation of the area does not let you enjoy its beauty. Actually, however, because it is very beautiful, go early in the morning to find some space on the rocks to spread your towel and enjoy it.

Faragas

The most beloved and beautiful beach of the island with wonderfully clear and clear waters. It is located in the southern part of the island and is easily accessible. Faragas beach bar has organized the beach with sunbeds, showers and nice options for coffee, breakfast, food, and drink throughout the day at reasonable and affordable rates. If you have time, I would suggest that you devote a whole day there and enjoy the wonderful waters of the beach from early morning until late at night, watching the sunset. For water sports lovers there is the possibility of renting canoe or SUP to discover the next creeks.

Santa Maria

From the most organized beaches of the island, known for its bar and windsurf. Surprisingly turquoise waters and view to Naxos.

Lageri

The quietest beach of the island. She does not know a lot of people and her access to it is done through a good dirt road. Turquoise waters, sandy beach with small gravel in some places and absolute relaxation.

Villages

Piso Livadi

A favorite village for those who want more relaxed evening entertainment and devote their whole day to a region. Breakfast in Logaras, food in Marpissa (10 minutes away) and evening outing at Piso Livadi. Drink, cocktails and rum in Brasil.

Marpissa

The most beautiful village on the island. Small in size and accessible only on foot. You leave the car on the road and climb up the alleys to discover it. Characteristic of the houses and their architecture while rewarding you with a view from above to the sea. It is also known for the Haroula tavern. You can see and learn about the loom, as the lady uses it and she has her door open so you can discover an art like this one.

Lefkes

one of the two most famous villages on the island, are amphitheatrically built on the mountainside. Its center is paved and passage only for pedestrians. This village awaits you after your bath to enjoy the view and the food. Many choices in taverns and restaurants with amazing food and local ingredients. A favorite choice for meat-lovers as the meat of the region is known for its quality.

Food

Mario, Naoussa for wine and great food at one of the best spots on the island, the picturesque harbor of Naoussa. Also in Naoussa, Ouzeri ton Naftikon, Gemini, Barbarosa and Sigi Ikthios.

For ice cream in Italian, just before the harbor, after the bridge. Do not forget to try troops. And sweet for sure at Chamilithori, in Naoussa.

Lefkes, Agnantio, and Marpissa in Haroula.

Traditional products

Graviera Parou, looks like oil, as it is stored with oil. With special grease, salty, but also spicy taste in the mouth. Also try the Gouna, a local recipe of a lobster fish, perfect for ouzo or tsipouro.

Nightlife

For the fans of the wildest fun, Naoussa is the solution, for those who are looking for something more relaxed Piso Livadi and the Brasil bar is the best choice. A nice choice we set out in Naoussa is the new Bar Monsieur. A fresh suggestion on the back of the harbor, with the lowest lighting and calmer. I was attracted by the music, blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll options, and the fresh faces of the staff. Nice work the piece of cocktails and the choice of drinks with quality. Here you will choose nice choices in cocktails. Choose a summer with Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and trust the bartender in terms of taste combinations. It opens every day at 20:00. And for a cool cocktail at the beach all day, the favorite haven of many, Beach bar Faragas.

We really liked

The harbor in Naoussa, so far off the world. A Woody Allen movie set. Ice cream from the Italian and ride to the harbor and the narrow streets of Naoussa. Kolimbithres for the geology of the beach and the crystal clear waters of the Faragh. The turquoise color of the sea, Marpissa and Lefkes. The food in Lefkes, the grill of Paros and a cocktail with Diplomatico and fine music at Monsieur and Faragas beach bar. The unique sunset along the way from Aliki to Parikia and Lefkes, overlooking Antiparos and the Aegean, as well as the evening walks in Piso Livadi.

We did not like

Over-organized beaches. Nice organization but capture of the whole beach with sun loungers and umbrellas overshadows its beauty. The tourist part of the island and Parikia.
