Our editor, Dimitra Likitsakou, recently visited Los Angeles and we have the key places to share. Laidback, artsy and health oriented this city will amaze you. Simple and diverse yet exciting, Los Angeles offers plenty of activities and sights.

This small LA restaurant and its famed ricotta toast, which we tried and savoured, will have you waiting for a seat, for quiet a long time. We advise you to do takeaway as long as y ou have a car waiting for you. Try anything from the menu! The ingredients are well selected and fresh. Much love to the daily cakes!

One of the best bakeries we have ever been is Gjusta in Venice. Divine sandwiches, desserts and daily dishes will keep your belly full for the whole day. Try to avoid it in the weekends though as the line is huge!

JON AND VINNY’S
If you enjoy minimal spaces, Italian food and a few celebrities in sight, definitely try to book at Jon and Vinny’s. The pasta and the pizza look simple, but they are authentic and delicious. We would urge you to book a few days in advance.

Apple pan serves delicious burgers and pies. We were thrilled with the steak burger and the pecan pie. Don’t miss this traditional diner with counter seats that serves quality food since 1927.

Erewhon is the place to go and try bone broth drinks, organic juices, snacks and an amazing variety of healthy and delicious daily dishes. We tried the fried turmeric chicken with honey glazed brussel sprouts and a big bottle of celery juice. Rumour has it, that Season 2 of the popular Netflix series “You” has been filmed there. We recommend it for breakfast or lunch to fuel right before exploring the Venice beach area.

People watching can’t get any better than in Venice beach. After mingling with this unique crowd, you can visit the Muscle Beach, the iconic open air gym filled with bodybuilders and also pass by the Venice Skatepark, where you can easi ly lose track of time watching riders of all ages. An absolute stroll is at the Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Shops with character and restaurants for all tastes make this street one of the liveliest in Los Angeles.
Manhattan beach is one of the most stunning beachfronts. People of all ages surf and play beach volley from the early hours of the day, take their dogs for a walk and relax. The area is considered one of the safest in California and is full of cute caffes and restaurants. We spent a relaxing day there and we definitely wanna go back.
HOLLYWOOD SIGN HIKE
We started the hike at Griffith Park and after 3 hours we reached the top and viewed the spectacular view. It is an amazing hike that should not be missed, but we advise you to always stick to the authorised trails.
